This plan may pertain to an employer covering a number of individual employees, several employers banded together, organizations or unions. Group insurance plans are a means to keep cost as low as possible while insuring a number of individuals.

James has over 20 years of experience in insurance claims and underwriting, specializing in Workers' Compensation. His work experience includes being the Director of Risk Management for the North Carolina School Boards Association. James's educational background, which centered on computer technology, culminated in earning a Masters of Business Administration (MBA); an Associates in Claims designation (AIC); and an Associates in Risk Management designation (ARM). He is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and a licensed financial advisor. He has been certified as an insurance instructor by the NC Department of Insurance. James is on the Board of Directors and is the Treasurer of the North Carolina Mid-State Safety Council. He has published a manual on Workers’ Compensation, three different claims processing manuals, and has written and has been quoted in numerous articles on reducing Workers’ Compensation costs for public and private employers.
